Andy Kushner, Spinnaker Group’s President and lead broker, has been selling REO property through three different real estate corrections.
In the late 1980’s Mr. Kushner was a partner in Calianos Company, a Boston based firm which specialized in the sale of bank owned property in Texas. Calianos Company paired New England and New York buyers with Texas investment property – large apartment complexes, bulk condominium, single family home sales and office buildings. Calianos worked with banks as well as local brokers in Houston, Dallas and Austin.
During the early 90’s, Mr. Kushner worked with lenders on the disposition of bank and FDIC owned assets in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Deals included residential land, partially completed condominium projects and subdivisions and multi family rental property.
Peter Spinella is also a Broker with Spinnaker. He has been in the top 3% of agents nationwide. He has worked with national builders in the acquisition and disposition of their assets. His background in commercial brokerage and leasing is allowing us to expand in to commercial brokerage and REO. He is currently listing commercial REO.
With the market correction of 2008, we have reentered the REO world, once again listing and selling bank owned property.
Our company has two main focuses – residential and commercial. We have worked for the past 15 years marketing and selling over 60 new subdivisions and condominium projects – 1000’s of homes. We also sell individual homes and have agents disbursed throughout Southern New England to conveniently service listings in Rhode Island, Southeastern Massachusetts and Eastern Connecticut. We have opened a Florida based office to better service our Florida listings.
We currently lease and manage the largest lifestyle center in Rhode Island – South County Commons with over 700,000 square feet of retail, office, hotel and residential property in South Kingstown, RI.
We have no part-time agents. All of our staff makes their living from real estate, and so they perform.
